Acronym vs. Acrogram
Acronym: NASA – National Aeronautics Space Agency
Acrogram: aSTAR – a SOUL That Alta(e)rs Reality
A well-known acronym is NASA. It’s when an abbreviation is pronounced as a word, like NASA, except each letter represents another word entirely such as National Aeronautics Space Agency, thus NASA.
An acrogram is using a dictionary word, like STAR, then assigning words for each letter in STAR as in SOUL That Alta(e)rs Reality, to poetically delve more deeply into the meaning of the original word, STAR.
Our literary artistic method of poetically decoding words is called acrogram-ography. The suffix -ographer is defined as using art or descriptive science as a form or process of writing. Therefore, it is somewhat as what a stenographer does for stenography, or an astronomer does for astronomy.
