About Me

I am the Business Development Director for Healing Through the Sound of Music, a 501c3 social impact music and theatre performing arts company and Executive Director of the multi-award-winning one-woman play, The Fannie Lou Hamer Story, “Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired”.  I am a volunteer mentor in Orange County Public Schools through the “My Brother’s Keeper” program to hopefully fill the gap like another Black man did for me when I wasn’t physically with my boys.  It gives me joy to point to the stars to remind and direct us to the SOURCE of TRUE IDENTITY, so we can Take Back Our STARPower.  Who we really are!  Children love it and get it when I say, You Are aSTAR.  It’s also pleasing to see the childlike glow in adult faces, when I say, You Are aSTAR.  We instinctively know it’s TRUE, and yet so MUCH MORE!

I am 1 of 8 living siblings of my 84yr old mother and matriarch, Evelyn O’Banion Kitchen, a 40+ year American Red Cross volunteer and my father the late 2^nd Lt. Eddie Kitchen Jr. who paid the ultimate sacrifice for his family and country in 1968 during the Vietnam War.  My father’s death was under highly suspicious conditions surrounding receiving his final letter expressing his concerns for himself and his troops regarding his unwelcomed battlefield protest.  It is important to note that my father volunteered to go to Vietnam, because according to my mother he suffered many sleepless nights feeling the burden of seeing the disproportionate count of African Americans returning in body bags.

The late 2nd Lt. Eddie Kitchen Jr., Wells, H.S. Army ROTC graduate entered the military 3yrs after Army desegregation.  He became a Drill Instructor, All Army Middleweight Boxing Champion and Army officer. He was a loving husband and father of 6 children. Fellow soldiers of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division – Big Red One told me he was admired as the soldiers’ soldier. The controversy of my father’s death in the jungles of Vietnam March 1968 during a combat mission is a disturbing story of America’s systemic betrayal of Black soldiers. Dad had to lead with bravery and poise for his platoon in the mist of commanders who boldly flew confederate flags at US Army post and vehicles on foreign soil. My grandmother reached out to the press and Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy which trigger a national news story and forced an Army investigation, resulting in “no-foul play”.  But, when my father’s death is finally reinvestigated without prejudice, it will reveal untold dilemmas of the Black American soldier denied and disheartened by their own country.

I am an Air Force veteran and so is my eldest son who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Our family has given this nation three generations of veterans in service to these United Corporate States of America.  Our family has certainly paid the price to have a voice in making America Great for ALL Americans by holding America accountable to the written WORDs of its founding and colonization.  This is how we make America a better place for ALL people of this great God given land and the world, as Michael Jackson once sang.I AM aSTAR Djehuty Se Hotep, Mental Fitness Coach and Dream Facilitator to STARs.  I AM also known as aSTAR, an acrogram versus acronym for a SOUL That Alt(a)ers Reality.  If you desire to take a deeper dive into the meaning of aSTAR as well as the definitions of acrogram vs acronym go to the link to star questions page to continue your search by clicking on the stars.  I AM a LIGHTTOFORMIAM as are you, meaning I AM consciousness emanating as LIGHT Taking On FORM appearing REAL. 

But,  What is R.E.A.L. (Relative Energy Altering Light) as powerfully stated by Mophius in the blockbuster motion picture film, Matrix?  You have always been LIGHT TO FORM, I’m simply reminding you of who you really are, one of the “STARs of the Heavens that is a SOUL on Earth” consciousness encased in water, LIGHTTOFORMIAM.  

LIGHTTOFORMIAM is similar to the term human except LIGHTTOFORM is a term that prefaces the projection of your TRUE Identity, Immortal LIGHT from consciousness itself, rather than using the term human which marginalizes your power by adopting the temporal mistaken identity used to function in this fleeting realm, mortal FORM, or your body.
